Macellaio RC proudly announces the opening of its newest restaurant in Genoa on the 11th June, marking a significant homecoming for founder Roberto Costa, who returns after 14 years. The new opening is located just 500 metres from where the concept was first created in 2003, bringing the brand full circle.
Set within the extraordinary Palazzo Branca Doria, a historic 13th-century building, the new location offers a dining experience steeped in culture and heritage. Guests will dine beneath Bernardo Strozzi’s Renaissance fresco The Triumph of David, while surrounded by walls that once inspired a tercet of Dante’s Divine Comedy, referencing the people of Genoa and the Branca Doria family.
The Genoa menu, led by Chef Edoardo Ferrera will evolve with the seasons, showcasing premium Italian produce alongside an exclusive selection of beef sourced by England’s Lake District Farmers. Staying true to the brand’s philosophy, the restaurant will focus on authentic, high-quality ingredients presented in a way that remains accessible to all.
With this opening, Macellaio RC bridges past and present - returning to its origins while continuing to expand its distinctive approach to meat and hospitality on an international scale.
